WWW Wednesday- 20/12/17

WWW Wednesday is currently hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. The three questions are: What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What are you planning to read next?

Recently Finished?

I recently finished reading Dead Girls Don’t Lie by Jennifer Shaw Wolf. While I enjoyed the novel and found final scene somewhat surprising, I did find certain stages a little boring or repetitive, presumably because I had the ending spoiled for me before I had even started the book. 😦 I still really liked this book and was  pleasantly surprised at some of the themes surrounding race and mental illness that were discussed. Due to the fact that I had the solution spoiled for me, I do not feel that I have a completely fair opinion on this book so will not be reviewing it.

Currently Reading?

I am more than half way through reading Fans of the Impossible Life by Kate Scelsa. The story is told from the perspective of three different characters, as well as three different points of view (first person, second person and third person P.O.V). This aspect, along with a collection of diverse and complex characters, is making the story really interesting.

I have not made much progress in listening to the audio book version of The Secret Life of Cows by Rosamund Young. Hopefully I can set aside some time within the next few days to listen to some of it.

Planning to Read Next?

I’m planning to read Kids Like Us by Hilary Reyl next. I’ve heard that this is quite a slow read but I’m more than willing to give it a go anyway.

What have you been reading lately? Feel free to leave me the link to your WWW and I’ll be sure to check it out. Happy Wednesday 🙂
