After a short break from blogging I am finally back and ready to tackle the list of posts that I have missed over the past week. This post in particular is one that I felt needed to be done before we got any further into 2018. So, without further ado, here are my blogging and reading goals and resolutions for the upcoming year, along with the reading challenges I intend on taking part in.
My Reading & Blogging Goals/Resolutions for 2018:
Read 80 books over the course of the year (and successfully record all of them).
This year I have decided to aim high and go for 80 books as my reading target. Last year I tried using Goodreads to record my books but never really stuck to it. This year my goal is to find a new approach that works for me.
Blog at least 3 times a week.
I have been blogging relatively frequently over the past month or so (apart from the aforementioned break over Christmas) and would love to continue this throughout the course of the year.
Read more diversely.
A goal that I’m sure could be found on almost any reader’s 2018 resolutions, despite reading quite a diverse range of books in 2017, I feel that there’s always room for improvement.
2018 Reading Challenges:
Goodreads Challenge- Read 80 books in 2018.
As previously mentioned, I never really stuck to my Goodreads challenge from 2017. This year I’m going to attempt to use both Goodreads and my own book log to keep up to date in this challenge.
This is my first time taking part in the challenge so I have decided to start off with with goals at 12 books. This seems like a great challenge to get rid of some of the books on my TBR. I’ll release a post of my TBR for this challenge (along with my allocated team) soon.
This is also the first time that I’ve decided to take part in this challenge. There are 12 different categories to read books from which I hope will help me expand my reading comfort zone. More details (my TBR for this challenge etc.) will be posted soon.
I’m very excited to be taking part in these reading challenges in 2018 and can’t wait to see how they end up. I’ll keep you posted with my progress throughout the year. Until then, happy reading! 🙂
