WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. The three questions are: What have you recently finished reading? What are you currently reading? What are you planning to read next?
1. Recently finished reading?
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee & The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers were both amazing reads that I’m so glad to have read. Additionally, I recently finished The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger & really loved it.
2. Currently reading?
Desolation Angels by Jack Kerouac is shaping up to be a VERY strange read and I’m not sure whether to continue or not… Anyone read it? Any advice?
The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I’m only 10 pages in but am so far quite hopeful.
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. I’m listening to the audiobook of this and am enjoying it so far.
3. Planning to read next?
My english project (in which we have to read American classics) will be over soon & I can get back to the pile of YA contemporaries that I have on my shelf. Some of these include: Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed, Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, A List of Cages by Robin Roe and The Learning Curves of Vanessa Partridge by Clare Strahan.

What an interesting bunch of books!!

Wow! What a great set of books! You’re kicking the classics butts, I really need to read The Catcher in the rye one of these days 🙂 . Looks like a ton of fun and I can’t wait to see what you think of Turtles All the Way Down (it’s on my TBR, but I’ve heard conflicting thoughts).

I would highly recommend The Catcher in the Rye- I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to read. I’m not sure quite what to expect with Turtles All The Way Down.

That’s good to hear, I’ll have to check it out one of these trips to the library 🙂 I’m not either. Like, I really want to read it because I generally like John Green, but I’m also just unsure…

I’ve always meant to re-read To Kill A Mockingbird. We did it at school and I enjoyed it about as much as anyone does when they have to study a book, but I think I would appreciate it far more as an adult.

It’s certainly a great book, I hope to re-read it sometime soon.
