I love doing book tags; they’re so fun to answer and always help to mix up my posting schedule. This one looked particularly interesting to me as I absolutely love cookies…yum ๐ช๐. This book tag was created by the people over at Sorry, I’m Booked. Note: I’ve changed some of the cookie headings to make them ones that I have actually tried.
-
Chocolate Chip: A classic book that you love or really enjoyed.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott are two classics that I absolutely adore.
-
Mint Slices: A fandom that you really want to join AND/OR a hyped-up book you want to read
I really, really, really want to read One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. I’ve heard such good things about it and I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
-
Shortbread: An author you canโt get enough of
I wanted to say Holly Smale, but unfortunately she’s only written one series. Then I wanted to say Lauren Child, but my favourite series of hers finished a year or so ago. I guess I would have to say Rainbow Rowell because she’s certainly a great author & her books always satisfy.
-
Lemon Crisps: An emotional rollercoaster
Definitely Moonrise by Sarah Crossan; this book made me cry, laugh and then cry some more. A great book that I would highly recommend! ๐
-
Oreos: A book whose cover was better than the story OR vice versa, where the story was better than its cover
I would have to say The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas as my answer for the latter part of this question- I do like the hardcover version, however the paperback cover just doesn’t do the story justice.
-
ย Wagon Wheels: A book that wasnโt what you expected
Playlist for the Dead by Michelle Falkoff. I expected more mystery and suspense going into this novel, instead it was far more romance driven and the ending was anything but surprising. Unlike Wagon Wheels, Playlist for the Dead wasn’t an overly good surprise.
-
Snickerdoodles: A book you may never stop reading/ loving
I will never ever stop loving the Ruby Redfort series. I haven’t reread them yet but I will certainly set aside some time to do so soon.
-
Bonus Question 1- Gingerbread: A festive book perfect for all year round
Geek Girl; All Wrapped Up by Holly Smale. I don’t think I’ll ever stop suggesting this book as a great festive (or non-festive) read. It was so light & fun that I can’t help recommending it to everyone, fans of Geek Girl or not.
-
Bonus Question 2- ANZAC Biscuits: A great book set in your home country
Beautiful Mess by Claire Christian is an amazing book set in Australia, my home country. One thing about this book that I loved was actually the setting and how skilfully it was incorporated into the novel.

This book tag was so fun to complete. I would love to hear your answers or thoughts in relation to some of the above questions and answers ๐.
This looks like a fun tag and it made me crave for some cookies. Anyway, I also want to read One of us is lying, it sounded really intriguing!
